About Helve.

Built by someone who's been responsible when it mattered.

Helve exists because we believe exceptional people, doing meaningful work deserve the support they need to help them build things that genuinely matter.

The UK produces extraordinary founders - with the right support and execution underneath them, far more of our companies can scale, endure, and change the world. We exist to help make this reality.

About Helve.

Helve Ventures was built to solve a specific problem:

Strong companies failing quietly - not because the idea was weak, but because execution around cash and operations broke down.

Helve is deliberately small, systems-led, and selective. We optimise for durability, not optics.

About the founder.

Helve is led by Oliver Fraser, an execution-focused finance operator with experience supporting businesses through scale, scrutiny, and transition.

Oliver has worked inside PE-backed and acquired businesses, including during successful exits, audits, diligence processes, and post-acquisition integrations. His background spans environments ranging from high-growth operating companies to global, compliance led organisations.

Most recently, he led a comprehensive finance transformation during acquisition and integration - rebuilding financial controls, revenue recognition, reporting, and operational visibility in a business where clarity had broken down.

This experience gives Helve a grounded understanding of what actually holds up under investor and acquirer scrutiny - and what quietly fails.

Our philosophy.

Helve is designed to generate cash sustainably, protect judgement, and create long-term optionality.

We work with a small number of companies at any time - by design. Growth never comes at the expense of service. We expand only when capacity, focus, and impact align.

We build deliberately. We partner where we believe the work genuinely matters.

Execution comes first. Equity is optional.

Interested in working with Helve.

Serious execution attracts serious operators.

Helve is deliberately small, systems-led, and execution-focused.

From time to time, we work with practitioners who see the world the way we do - people who care about outcomes, ownership, and doing the work properly, without theatre.

If you’re reading this and thinking “that’s a bit of me”, it’s worth introducing yourself.

The kind of people we’re interested in.

We’re not building a large team or a traditional consultancy.

When we do work with people, they tend to be:

Calm under pressure

Comfortable owning outcomes, not just tasks

Strong on judgement - not just technical correctness

Allergic to performative work and unnecessary process

Interested in building systems that make others faster

You don’t need to have worked at a startup.
You do need to be able to operate when things are messy, ambiguous, or consequential.

What working with Helve actually looks like.

Helve is not:

A high churn environment

A place for slide-building or box-ticking

A firm that scales by throwing bodies at problems

Helve is:

High trust

High responsibility

Low ego

Systems-first

Calm, even when the work matters

We optimise for quality, not volume.

When this makes sense.

You should probably reach out if:

You’ve run finance, operations, or delivery inside real businesses

You’ve seen what breaks under audit, diligence, or scale

You care about speed and correctness

You want to work closely with founders without becoming one

You’re more interested in judgement than job titles

If you’re early in your career and looking for structure, this probably isn’t the right fit yet.

How to get in touch.

We’re not running an open hiring process.

If you think there might be a fit:

Send a short introduction

Include what you’ve actually done, not just where you’ve worked

Tell us what about Helve resonated with you

A CV has its place - but we’ve seen enough to know it’s rarely the best indicator of someone’s ability to build and execute.
